Holy Week 2021

It is our hope and prayer that as you enter Holy Week you will be able to use our in-person and digital resources to connect with the Divine and with our faith community. Please see the announcements below for more information about all our Holy Week and Easter events.

Maundy Thursday, April 1st

Stop by the Parking Plaza at church anytime between 4:30 pm & 6:30 pm to receive Holy Communion. We will be using Covid precautions such as physical distancing, pre-packaged wafers/grape juice, three separate stations to pick up the Communion elements, then a brief prayer with Pastor Julie and then to partake in the elements. Masks required. If you can’t make it during those times but still would like Communion please contact Pastor Julie.

Good Friday, April 2nd

A Stations of the Cross prayer experience is currently set up in our Parking Plaza for folks to come and experience. It is called, “The Way of the Cross for Pandemic Time” and is a way to worship, pray and meditate on your own. For those of you who are not able to physically come to the Parking Plaza or would prefer to experience this in the comfort of your own home, in video form, you may view this video:

Seven Sister Sharing the Seven Last Words of Jesus

On Friday, April 2, 2021 at noon, Join Plymouth Church United Church of Christ as seven phenomenal women preach the seven last words of Jesus. In additional, we investigate how the words of Jesus resonate with those of Elijah McClain, the young man who was murdered due to hyperpolicing. From Calvary to Colorado, the lynching tree still stands. View Live on YouTube.

Easter Vigil, April 3rd
Two Easter Vigil Opportunities

A Local Invite:

Come and celebrate a Virtual Easter Vigil via Zoom on Saturday, April 3 at 7pm! A collection of faith communities (including Emmaus Table, University Lutheran Church, Lutheran Campus Ministry at UW, Echoes, and Living Stones Prison Ministry) will lead an immersive, imaginative experience of remembrance, hope, longing, and new creation. Gathered around a new fire, we will revisit stories and songs of God’s deliverance from the Hebrew Scriptures and our lives. We will also remember our Baptisms and celebrate Holy Communion together. Join the zoom event here.

An invite from our friends at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary:

Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary invites you to join its Easter Vigil worship watch party on Saturday, April 3, at 7 pm on the PLTS Facebook page. The worship service includes a liturgy of Word, music, readings, reflections, and prayers, led by PLTS students, pastors, and faculty with plenty of water and fire for all! You don’t need a Facebook account to participate. A recording of the service will also be available on the PLTS Worship YouTube channel.

Easter Sunday, April 4th, 10:30 a.m.

In-person Easter morning worship experience. This worship service will be similar to our brief Christmas Eve worship service in that it will be in the Parking Plaza, masks and physical distancing will be required and it will only be a 10-15 minute service. We look forward to being together to celebrate, even briefly, on this special day. We will also have a worship video to offer this day, email with link to come.
